NOTE | Harry was the youngest of three children to Arthur COLLINGE and Clara INGHAM, all born in Blackley Lancashire there was Edith, Stanley and Harry born in 1910. As was common in that area both Stanley and Harry went to work in the mills supervising the dyes used to colour the textiles. Harry was a huge fan of cricket and he played in his local cricket team. On retiring from the mills in the early 1970s Harry and his wife Margaret moved down to 18 Penponds Road, Porthleven. They spent a great many holidays around the area over the years and so decided that was where they would like to retire. During his retirement, in addition to watching cricket, Harry took up painting and painted a great many scenes in Cornwall and around. He died in September 1999. | |
