John Allen I can place you now Rosemary. Porthleven was such a special place to
grow up in. I still think a lot a bout the place. I remember your Dad on the beach. The
last I heard of Mark was working at the seal sanctuary. Can you remember my sister
Margaret and my brother Stephen? I visit Porthleven a few times a year and all the
memories flood back. I am now a happily married 61 year old grandad living in St
Austell.

Rosemary Craven I live in Sheringham, Norfolk now John, age 74 and have four adult
children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild with another great due next
month. Mark still lives in Gibson Way but hasn't worked at the seal sanctuary for
several years. He works nights as a carer now. My sister Betty has talked of Margaret
but as I joined the WRNS in 1960 I didn't really know her, I have been Facebook
friends with Steve for a long while and we love to chat about Porthleven. I met my
husband Joe in the RN, unfortunately he now has Parkinson's. We go to Cornwall
whenever we can, we hope to go again in May.

Carol Andrews That's so interesting and lovely memories. I love looking at the old
photos and reading all the things that follow on from them. Xx

John Allen Hello Carol, thanks for reading my memories of my childhood at
Porthleven . I might have another go writing about my memories being brought up in
the fishing village of Porthleven.
