Porthlevener Tony Treglown first wrote a short
history of his home village nearly 20 years ago,
using his extensive collection of postcards as
illustrations. This proved popular and several
reprints were required to satisfy demand. It also
prompted Tony to produce a series of small booklets
‘Porthleven in years gone by’. The cover of the
complete series are contained within this ebook. ‘In
pictures’ is out of print and there are not many
‘Harbour’ left, otherwise copies can be purchased
from the Albatross Gallery, Commercial Road,
Porthleven or direct from the author via

Tony is currently working on, and nearly finished,
a Comprehensive History of Porthleven. This will
be a 400+ page A4 book with thousands of facts,
500+ pictures and a 20+ page index. Look out for
the book launch later this year.
