Edward CARDELL & Eliza nee DELBRIDGE had at least 3 children:Louisa J 1978, Mary S 1880 and Alarina 1887. In 1905 Alarina married John William PASCOE and they had a dau Edna PASCOE reg'd Q2 of 1906. Unfortunately John William PASCOE's death is reg'd just the next quarter 1906 Q3 at Newport Pagnell (now well-known as location of a service station on the M1 motorway just to north of London. In 1920 Alarina married William J ORCHARD (her name misspelt as Alarinia). On 08 Jun 1921 they had a son Edward J ORCHARD. In 1939 the widowed (again!) Alarina was living at Lynwood Thomas Terrace, Porthleven (her occupation: "grocery Shop"). With her was her son Edward J Orchard (mason apprentice). It looks as though her 2nd husband (ORCHARD) may have suffered from shellshock/PTSD from WW1 - see newspaper cutting. Her mother's family (DELBRIDGE) may have had some connection with the DELBRIDGE that built the iconic Bay View Terrace). |
